"Light It Up" is a Head of Household competition which originated in Big Brother 7 as Part 1 of the Final Head of Household competition.
Rules[]
In this speed competition, houseguests are given ten minutes to place as many light bulbs as possible on a board.
To place a light bulb, houseguests must post "*PLACES LIGHT BULB ON BOARD*". In order for a light bulb to count towards their score, however, houseguests also need to light each bulb, by generating electricity. To generate electricity, houseguests must post "*CRANKS WHEEL TO GENERATE ELECTRICITY*" three times in order to light 1 light bulb. Every lit light bulb is worth 1 point.
Every post has to be made separately, and must be done exactly as specified in order to count. Houseguests also must place all the light bulbs on their board they want before they can start generating electricity - once they start cranking the wheel, they cannot place any more light bulbs on their board.
Any light bulbs on a houseguests board after ten minutes that aren't lit result in a penalty of 3 points each being deducted from their score.
The houseguest with the most lit light bulbs on their board after ten minutes, after any penalty deductions, will win the first part of the Final HOH competition.
